Bloodspell

Elephants Dream

The world's first open movie, Elephants Dream is made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender, and all production files are freely available under a Creative Commons licence.

A broadcast-quality, HD dramatic series designed specifically for the Internet, Sanctuary features unprecedented interactive features such as flash gaming and social networking.

Politics and Definitions

Politics and Definitions has been described as "a short film about politics, mud, ketchup, and the future". It is a political and ultimately philisophical statement shot and edited in HD for YouTube distribution. It premiered as part of the series "UnConvention 2008".

We have added video clips, background stories and producer interviews for most of the films to be shown during the festival screening. Check them out and get a preview of what will be shown on 30 October at National Museum Theatre.

A web-to-cable success story

DMfest will screen Episode 7 of the first season of Sanctuary, the made-for-Internet science fiction series that has made a successful crossover to cable television.

Metropolitan Opera Live

Catch Metropolitan Opera: Live in HD during the Opening Night Film & Video Screening of DMfest 2008. Producer Mark Schubin will also address the audience via a live linkup from New York.

Fringe line-up

Opening Night Film & Video Screening will be hosted by well-known Channel News Asia news presenter and a film maker in her own right, Genevieve Woo, while Mark Laudi, award-winning broadcast journalist and CEO of Hong Bao Media, will host the Conference.
